By Anna Johnson on January 12th, 2010First Planet Company, a subsidiary of the MindArk Group that develops and markets the Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game Planet Calypso has laid claim to selling the worlds’ most expensive virtual object – a Crystal Palace Space Station.
First Planet Company offered the Crystal Palace Space Station – a hunting destination in orbit around Planet Calypso – via public auction. Erik Novak won the bid, agreeing to buy the virtual space station for a cool $330,000.00.
Apparently, Novak sees the Crystal Palace Space Station as an investment. As reported by TechCrunch, Novak said:
“This is a stunning investment opportunity, and I have complete faith I will recover what I spent relatively quickly.”
