Which Countries Most Use The Internet For Leisure?
By Anna Johnson on January 20th, 2009It turns out that people in China most use the Internet for leisure, with Chinese Internet users spending an average of 44 percent of their leisure time online in 2008.
As reported by eMarketer, research by TNS Global indicates that, when it comes to which countries spend the most leisure time online, South Korea comes in second, followed by Japan, Italy and the U.S.
Here’s the average percentage of leisure time spent online by the top 10 countries, as tracked by TNS Global:
- China: 44 percent
- Korea: 40 percent
- Japan: 38 percent
- Italy: 31 percent
- Unites States: 30 percent
- Spain: 29 percent
- Australia: 29 percent
- Canada: 28 percent
- France: 28 percent
- United Kingdom: 28 percent
