When Do Twitter Users Tweet The Most?
By Anna Johnson on February 1st, 2010HubSpot‘s ‘State of the Twittersphere’ report indicates that Thursday and Friday are the most active days for Twitter users, accounting for 16 percent of all tweets per week.
Moreover, Twitter activity is heaviest between 10-11 pm, accounting for 4.8 percent of tweets per day.
Other interesting findings from HubSpot’s analysis of 5 million Twitter accounts between July 2009 and January 2010 are that:
- 82 percent of Twitter users have fewer than 100 followers.
- 81 percent of Twitter users are following fewer than 100 people.
- Thursday and Friday are the most active days for tweeting (16 percent of tweets per week).
- 10-11 pm is the most active hour on Twitter (4.8 percent of tweets per day).
