What Are The Most Popular iPhone Apps?

According to Compete, which has tracked the most popular applications used by Apple iPhone users, the most popular iPhone apps are… weather applications!
In fact, 39 percent of the iPhone users who participated in Compete’s research said weather applications were the apps they used most frequently. 13 percent specifically named The Weather Channel app as their favorite application.
The second most popular application among iPhone users was the Facebook application (cited by 25 percent of users) and the third most popular type of app was games (reported by 20 percent of users). Fourth popular was music-related app category (10 percent of iPhone users).
Another interesting finding was that 60 percent of both iPhone and other smartphone users found their own applications rather than relying on recommendations from others.
