A report by eMarketer indicates that UK business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce sales (including digital downloads and tickets for travel and events) will total £59.8 billion ($116.6 billion) this year.

This represents a 28 percent rise over the figure in 2007.

eMarketer expects UK online sales to reach £94.2 billion ($169.6 billion) by 2012, but will grow more slowly with a 10 percent p.a. expected growth rate.
