U.S. Online Retail Spending Up 9 Percent in Second Quarter of 2010
By Anna Johnson on August 16th, 2010Data from comScore Inc shows that, during the second quarter of 2010, online retail spending reached $32.9 billion in the United States, up 9 percent versus year ago.
The year-on-year quarterly increase in U.S. online retail spending is the third in a row, following flat or negative growth during 2008.
Among the top-performing online product categories were: consumer electronics (excluding PC peripherals), computer software (excluding PC games), computers/peripherals/PDAs, and books & magazines.
