Twitter Users Are Wealthy, Well Educated and Heavy Social Media Users
By Anna Johnson on May 10th, 2010Edison Research’s report, Twitter Usage In America: 2010, indicates that Twitter users tend to be wealthier and better educated than regular Americans. They’re also pro-technology and heavy social media users.
Based on a February 2010 survey of 1,753 Americans, Edison Research found, among other things, that Twitter users tend to have higher annual household incomes and more advanced and college degrees than average Americans.
A significant percentage of Twitter users have three or more computers at home (39 percent), 65 percent spend time on social networks at least once per day (compared with 50 percent of all social network users), and 63 percent access social network sites via mobile phone (compared with 34 percent of all social network users).
