Twitter: How Five B2B Companies Use Twitter For Sales and Leads

By Anna Johnson on March 17th, 2010

Following on from Jane Roberts’ list of the top B2C companies using Twitter to generate leads and sales, here are five B2B companies optimizing Twitter for sales and lead generation.

You’ll note that, in line with their different business models, these B2B tweeters tend to be less concerned about drumming up direct sales, and more focused on eliciting trust, respect and thought leadership by providing timely news, advice, opinions and resources, etc rather than daily deals.

  • Deloitte LLP – tweets about its reports, videos and opinions.
  • Direct Marketing Association – tweets about its workshops, conferences and policy statements.
  • HubSpot – tweets about its webinars, blog posts, ebooks and product information.
  • Lyris – tweets news, advice and promotions.
  • Valeo Marketing – tweets about its workshops, blog posts and downloads.
