Twitter: How 13 Companies are Converting Tweets Into Sales and Leads

No less a company than Dell has turned Twitter into a marketing channel in its own right – one that is responsible for an estimated $3 million in annual sales.
Dell is not the only one, either.
In fact, Janet Roberts over at Larry Chase’s Search Engine For Marketers reviewed over 500 Twitter feeds to come up with a list of the top business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) companies using Twitter to generate leads. - Bloomingdale’s – tweets daily deals, celebrity visits, store events, news and tips.
- Dell Outlet – tweets deals and product offers.
- Denny’s (Dennys Allnightr) – tweets evening meal deals as well as regular menu items.
- Groupon – tweets a daily coupon special for each city it operates in.
- Handmark – tweets product launches, provides some customer support.
- Jockey International – tweets contests and deals.
- Synchronicity Theatre (Atlanta theatre group) – tweets last-minute deals, fund raising requests and news.
- Travelzoo – tweets travel deals, advisories and tips.
- Verizon Wireless USA (VZW Offers) – tweets daily deals, product advice and news.
- Visit Chicago – tweets attractions, events, tips and ticket deals in Chicago.
- Walmart – tweets deals and product offers categorized into store departments.
- Wilton Cakes – tweets daily deals and tips.
