By Anna Johnson on May 14th, 2009

Data released by ComScore indicates Twitter got 17 million visitors from the United States alone in April 2009. This reflects a massive 83 percent increase from March when Twitter attracted 9.3 million U.S. visitors.

Total U.S. page views have also almost doubled, rising from 219 million in March to 428 million in April. And the length of time visitors spend on Twitter has also increased – it’s now 7.9 minutes a day, double the amount of time in December 2008.
