Twitter’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dick Costolo says Twitter is now getting 190 million visitors per month and 65 million Tweets per day.

These figures support Pingdom’s recent estimates (see Twitter Gets 2 Billion Tweets Per Month).

Announcing the statistics at the Conversational Media Summit on June 8 2010 in New York City, Dick Costolo posted a Tweet to say that Twitter is “laying down track as fast as we can in front of the train.”

Twitter usage has continued to grow from the 180 million unique visitors per month Twitter reported in April, and the 50 million Tweets per day the company announced it was getting in February.
