Twitter 101: How To Use Twitter For Business… According To Twitter
By Anna Johnson on July 27th, 2009Twitter has released its own guide for using its micro-blogging service for business. Called Twitter 101, the guide is an easy-to-read overview of how businesses can harness Twitter.
Twitter 101 is a series of pages explaining what Twitter is, how to get started, the Twitter lingo, best practices, case studies, and links to other resources covering Twitter.
Twitter 101 is a good place to start if you’re not quite sure how Twitter fits into your business. If you’ve been using Twitter for ages and have thousands of followers it probably won’t tell you anything new. Twitter 101 contains no advanced ‘secrets’ or tips for using Twitter, and while the case studies provide a glimpse into how different companies are implementing the service, you won’t necessarily get any huge ‘a-ha’ moments.
Even so, Twitter 101 is useful for Twitter newcomers and it’s good to see Twitter providing some guidance to businesses seeking to benefit from participating in the service.
