Hi Anna,

So true...I think the biggest problem with new people coming into the Internet marketing area is that they really don't have any idea of the initial learning and hard work that's involved. One of the reasons, I believe, is that there are a ton of people promoting products and systems that tell them to 'Plug into the system' and it will do all the work for you.

I also think that most of the 'gurus' make the biggest $$ by doing JV's with other 'gurus', either for a monetary return or a similar venture, promoting their product, in the future.

I'm not sure of any business venture that requires no work...other then a straight monetary investment perhaps.

Exactly! I did expect hard work but I did not expect to give up all free time, cut my showers to twice a week and cut my sleep to 3 to 4 hours a night stay up all night one or two nights a week , work all weekend and still find I could not fit things in.

I did expect my family to treat it as a business and not a hobby. After three months my husband still expects me to live round his shifts, that\'s been a bugbear for the last 16 years. I did not expect to be constantly badgered by both my husband and son saying When are you going to earn some money and so on.

Using marketing systems is hard work. Using marketing systems does involve a lot of time to learn and put it into practice. Social networking takes up a lot of time but it will be worth it in the long run.

My company did tell me it would be hard work. I just saw it as putting 100% effort into all I did for a few hours a week. It will eventually be just a few hours a week.

Do I regret it? No! It will all be worth it in if one looks at the bigger picture.

If a prospect does not look at my business as a serious business will they not give up after only a few months. It only takes a few dozen to do that and we begin to get a bad reputation. Yes we should emphasise you can\'t make a 7 figure income without hard work. There is no such thing as a free lunch. The business opportunities who claim you can do it without any work are usually scams.

The prospect will only see what they want to and some will fall by the wayside but at least they cannot go around complaining it was a scam.
