The 25 Most Valuable Blogs

By Anna Johnson on February 25th, 2009

24/7 Wall Street has published its list of the 25 most valuable blog based businesses. Yes, that’s ‘value’ in dollar terms, and if 24/7 Wall Street’s valuations are on the mark, the most valuable blog company, Gawker Properties, is worth an impressive $170 million.

24/7 Wall Street based its valuations on such factors as web traffic estimates from Alexa, Compete, comScore and Quantcast, the blogs’ own claims about traffic (where credible), its own formula for determining advertising revenue, and such factors as head count (if known), and the estimated cost of operating and maintaining each blog.

And various other factors you can read all about in the 24/7 Wall St article!
