Gift #2: Killer Internet Marketing Interviews

My second gift to you is the Killer Internet Marketing Interview series – a series of four (4) approx. 60 minute audio interviews conducted with four wonderful, successful Internet marketers.

Now let me say up front, these are NOT your ordinary Internet marketing interviews. They’re not thinly veiled sales pitches or boring discussions about stuff you already know.

No way. When I invited each person to participate in the interview with me, I specifically told them I was planning a no-holds barred interview where I would ask tough questions and expect honest answers.

I wanted them to tell me – and YOU – the truth about what it takes to build a successful Internet marketing business.

I’m pleased to say… that’s exactly what they did.

So if you’re tired of superficial, fluffy, hypey interviews and want to hear four successful Internet marketers tell it like it really is… you’ll love these interviews!

Move Over iPhone, G-Phone Is Coming

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

A mobile phone made by HTC and powered by Google’s Android software is expected to launch in the United States by Christmas, possibly as early as October.

T-Mobile will be the first carrier to offer the high-end phone, which will match many of the capabilities of Apple’s iPhone, including providing Internet access and performing computer-like functions.

Just as the success of Apple’s iPhone has largely been due to enabling users to download any number of applications to their phones and individualizing their phone’s functions, phones using Google’s software will also offer similar functionality.

Google is making the Android operating system software available free to a group of companies, including cellphone carriers and manufacturers, who have agreed to provide devices which will enable users to choose which applications run on them.

F.C.C. Finds Against Comcast For Slowing Down File-Sharing Users’ Internet Access

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

The United States Federal Communications Commission (F.C.C.) voted on Friday to uphold a complaint against Comcast, the country’s largest cable company, for inhibiting certain of its customers to access the popular file-sharing software, BitTorrent.

The complaint was brought against Comcast after it installed equipment to slow down the Internet access of customers who used the popular file-sharing software, BitTorrent, to download files. BitTorrent is known for facilitating the unauthorized distribution of copyrighted movies, television shows, music and software. But it’s also used for legitimate file transfers too.

According to Comcast, it introduced the equipment because customers using BitTorrent were consuming a disproportionate share of its network capacity, degrading the Internet access of other customers. The F.C.C., however, said that communications companies could not prevent customers from using their networks as they saw fit.

More People Watch Prime Time TV Online

Friday, August 1st, 2008

Wow - a chunky 20 percent of prime time television is now being watched online.

What’s more, according to a May 2008 study by Integrated Media Measurement Inc. (IMMI), online consumers of prime time television are 55 percent female and 45 percent male, and tend to be financially better off than most. Households earning $80,000 per year or more are 56 percent more likely to watch a network show on the Internet. The largest single segment of online television viewers comprise white, affluent, well educated, working women aged 25-44.

Also interesting is the finding that more people are watching entire episodes of prime time TV online, rather than just bits they may have missed on television. Increasingly viewers seem to be switching between either media, with a substantial 41 percent of those surveyed first watching a show on TV, then viewing another episode online.

Seems like more people simply want to watch their favorite TV shows at a time that suits them. Rather than being home and in front of the box at a certain time, they are valuing the convenience offered by the web, where they can download and view such shows when it suits them.

It’s no surprise that more affluent people are tending to watch more prime time television on the web either. They are more likely to have broadband Internet access to facilitate quick video downloading or streaming, and to have media centers which allow them to watch Internet content on their televisions…

China’s Internet Users Exceed U.S.

Monday, July 28th, 2008

The number of Internet users in China was estimated to have reached 253 million last month, placing China ahead of the United States as the world’s biggest Internet market.

Based on a national phone survey conducted by the China Internet Network Information Center in Beijing, the estimate indicates that Internet users increased by over 50 percent - or about 90 million people - in 2007. Yet, this number still represents just 19 percent of China’s population, indicating room for plenty more growth. About 70 percent or approximately 220 million Americans are online.

The Chinese Government heavily regulates Internet access within China, actively preventing access to sites it deems unsuitable. But that certainly isn’t deterring the population from using those parts of the Internet it can access!
