Online Video Consumption to Grow 67 Percent By 2013

eMarketer reports that, according to ABI Research, the number of online video viewers worldwide will increase by 67 percent to reach 941 million in 2013, up from 563 million in 2008.

If correct, that means just over one-half of the 1.8 billion consumers expected to use the Internet in 2013 will also watch online video.

Facebook Starts Suing People

It’s no more Mr Nice Guy over at Facebook. As the lawsuit brought against German social network StudiVZ indicates, Facebook will no longer stand by while others appear to copy the social media site.

Facebook’s suit against StudiVZ, which evidently has 10 million active members and is the largest social network in German-speaking countries including Germany, Belgium, Austria and Switzerland, alleges that it has infringed Facebook’s copyright by copying Facebook’s “look, feel, features and services”.
