Surchur Helps You Track The Latest Trends
By Anna Johnson on March 6th, 2009Surchur is a trend-tracker-and-search-engine-in-one which you can use to enter a term or phrase and then see the latest talk about that topic across the most popular social media sites.
When you visit the site, you see a dashboard displaying the current hot topics on Yahoo Buzz, CNN, Google Trends, Twitter Search, and Technorati Popular.
This is, of itself, interesting and useful for Internet marketers. But what if you want to know what’s hot in YOUR niche?
Well, you just enter in a term or phrase in the search box and Surchur will yield the most popular discussions, pictures, blogs, news, video and even products (although this is confined to the products on eBay and Amazon) relating to that term or phrase.
Surchur has its limitations – when you perform a search you will probably end up wondering why Surchur hasn’t included this site or that – but I’d encourage you to spend a little time experimenting with it. Some of the results and insights you’ll get may be quite enlightening…
