Speakertext Transcribes Online Videos
By Anna Johnson on January 11th, 2010Speakertext from Matt Mireles and Bjorn Liljequist (apparently created on a $4,000 budget and an engineering team paid in iPhones) is a new video transcribing tool that offers Internet marketers some exciting opportunities.
Essentially, Speakertext allows for the text of a video to be indexed so that users can search on keywords or phrases in order to find the video clips they’re most interested in.
Speakertext uses the YouTube API and replaces the YouTube player with a Speakertext player. Users can then search the video text and even embed a linked quote or the Speakertext player and video into their blogs.
Online video marketers can either transcribe their videos themselves or pay Speakertext about $20 an hour to have their videos transcribed.
