SocialToo Launches Twitter-Based Affiliate Program
By Anna Johnson on January 11th, 2010SocialToo, which provides an array of ‘power’ tools for managing your Twitter and Facebook accounts, has introduced a Twitter-based affiliate program that provides messages (including tweets) you can post that are embedded with an affiliate link.
Nothing earth shattering about that, but what is interesting is what happens on SocialToo’s website when someone arrives through your affiliate link.
Rather than see a landing page with no mention of the affiliate who sent you there, SocialToo presents the visitor with a welcome message that includes the referring user’s Twitter profile beside the welcome message. The welcome message also tells the visitor about the type of service the referrer has recommended and prompts them to provide their screen name and enter the purchase process.
Affiliates get a 20 percent commission on sales of SocialToo’s services, paid monthly via the PayPal powered payment platform for Twitter, Twitpay.
SocialToo offers tools for capitalizing on Facebook and Twitter. These include auto-following / unfollowing, follower synchronization, direct message blocking, the ability to conduct social surveys, email notifications of people who started or stopped following you (along with your last tweet before they did so), and other such features.
