Smartphone Apps Market Doubles in Just 6 Months

This is considerably more than the $1.7 billion in revenues generated by the apps market in all of 2009, and puts the market on track to more than double this year.
Downloads of smartphone apps in the first half of 2010 have also far exceeded the number of downloads last year. research2guideance estimates that while there were 3.1 billion downloads in all of 2009, there were 3.9 billion in just the first half of 2010.
