Us on-line marketers do buy our customer&#039;s loyalty, or at least we entice them with incentives, like free bonuses.  Granted, the free bonuses don&#039;t guarantee long, or even short term loyalty from all our customers.  I feel that their biggest benefit is getting first-time surfers to become customers.  Beyond that, like the article says, good quality products/services at a reasonable price is what will EARN the customer&#039;s loyalty.
