Sedo Acquires RevenueDirect To Expand U.S. Presence
By Anna Johnson on February 27th, 2009Sedo, the German based domain name marketplace and parking service has acquired RevenueDirect from domain registrar, Dotster, for an undisclosed amount.
RevenueDirect offers a domain parking and monetization service. The acquisition reflects a move by Sedo (owned by Internet marketing and media company AdLINK Group) to gain a bigger presence in the United States. Both companies are significant Google advertising partners.
As part of the deal Sedo will also further integrate its services into Dotster’s registration and inventory management solutions.
The jury is out on whether the acquisition will have much impact – good or bad – on domain name investors.
