Seems an earlier report that the level of people who regularly listen to podcasts has barely budged from two years ago may be wrong.

According to research by eMarketer, 17.4 million people (9 percent of Internet users) downloaded podcasts on a monthly basis in 2008, and that number will more than double to 37.6 million (17 percent of Internet users) by 2013.

You make up your own mind about who to believe. For me, I rarely take a drive or a walk without firing up my Apple iPod and listening to a podcast… or two… or more… depending on how long I’m driving or walking!

Right now, my favorite podcast is Venture Voice.
