Palm Unveils Pre – It’s Answer To The iPhone
By Anna Johnson on January 9th, 2009Palm has released its new smartphone, the ‘Pre’ – a successor to its Treo device and its answer to the Apple iPhone.
According to Palm, the Pre is not intended to be an ‘iPhone killer’ but a ‘killer Palm product.’ Tell that to consumers who will almost certainly compare the two (along with other devices) when deciding which to buy.
In terms of key features and benefits, the Palm Pre offers a touch screen and new operating system (WebOS) and promises fast web browsing and efficient multi-tasking.
Palm has entered into an exclusive partnership with Sprint to distribute the Pre.
