Online Video Advertising To Reach $2.7 Billion in 2010

In its report, ‘Online Video Advertising and Media Spend: 2010 – 2012′ AccuStream forecasts in-banner video media advertising to constitute 53.7 percent of total online video advertising in 2010, while pre-roll will make up 27.5 percent. Mobile video advertising is expected to make up 0.1 percent of the market.
Overall, online video advertising is expected to experience double-digit growth from 2011 to 2012, based on such factors as: greater transaction transparency; competition between ad networks and marketplace auctions; expanding premium inventories; more innovative formats; lower CPMs; unambiguous campaign performance benchmarking; and better ROI and accountability metrics, combined with broadcast buying scale.
