OneRiot Provides Realtime Web Search API
By Anna Johnson on July 13th, 2009Realtime search engine, OneRiot, has made its realtime web search application programming interface (API) available to third-party developers. Now, based on OneRiot’s technology, you can bring realtime web search results into your own applications.
Already, Shareaholic, desktop messaging app Nambu, and Microsoft have integrated OneRiot results into their applications. Microsoft, for example, lets you download the OneRiot add-on to the new Internet Explorer 8 web browser.
The OneRiot Realtime Web Search API gives third-party application developers several options including:
- Realtime search results;
- PulseRank search results (a feed of search results ordered by relevance using OneRiot’s PulseRank algorithm;
- OneRiot trending topics – a feed of emerging topics heating up across the web right now; and
- the OneRiot simple web search interface.
