New Directories Help Internet Marketers Get on Radio Talk Shows

By Anna Johnson on January 5th, 2010

With Internet radio thriving, and the most popular terrestrial radio talk shows continuing to command huge audiences, radio gives Internet marketers enormous publicity opportunities. In fact, according to radio publicity expert Francine Silverman, it’s easier to get on radio than to get newspaper coverage, often with better results.

After all, as Francine points out, radio talk show hosts NEED guests. And if the topic of discussion is your business or book, talk show hosts will often tout your business or book several times during the interview.

So, if radio presents such a great opportunity for you to promote your business, product or yourself… how do you get on radio talk shows in the first place?

Unfortunately, according to Francine Silverman, looking for suitable radio talk shows is one research task that is NOT so easy on the Internet:

“Most radio websites are poorly designed for potential radio guests. Rarely will you find the show theme and guest criteria – or even if guests are welcome. As an online publicist, I am well aware of the difficulty in finding the right match for my clients and the relevant radio show.”

The challenges facing Internet marketers and others get on radio talk shows prompted Francine to create several directories of talk show radio shows, including directories for business, new age, entertainment, politics, health and self-help.

Each directory contains the critical information potential radio talk show guests need: title and theme, guest criteria, name of host, email, phone (optional), website, best method of contact, and where the show is aired.

The Directory of Business Talk Radio Shows, for example, includes the details of a wide range of radio talk shows in such categories as: workplace issues; innovation; entrepreneurship; business strategies; careers; finance; small business; sales; home-based businesses; investments; insurance; money management; law; law enforcement; and real estate.

Francine Silverman – a former publicist and book marketing expert – created these directories of radio talk shows to complement her National ‘Best Books 2009′ award winning book, ‘Talk Radio Wants You: An Intimate Guide to 700 Shows and How to Get Invited’ (McFarland & Co. 2009). Francine’s book aims to provide potential guests with everything they need to know before contacting a radio talk show host.

Purchasers of one of Francine’s directory get five free updates and, right now, Francine is offering Kikabink News readers the following special offer: the first two readers to send Francine an email will receive their desired directory at half the usual price.

Just email Francine at franalive@optonline.net and be sure to let her know you found out about her offer through Kikabink News. Further details for how to order from Francine are available at Talk Radio Advocate.
