Nearly 70 Percent of Affiliate Marketers Using Social Networks

Affiliate marketers have certainly embraced social media marketing, with 67.5 percent using social networking sites according to data from AffStat.

Which social networks are popular among affiliate marketers? According to AffStat’s 2010 survey of 1,150 affiliate marketers, Twitter and Facebook are, by far, the most popular social networks among affiliates, with LinkedIn a distant third.

Here is AffStat’s breakdown of what percentage of affiliate marketers use which social networks:

  • Twitter: 26.9 percent
  • Facebook: 25.9 percent
  • LinkedIn: 10.2 percent
  • Myspace: 9.0 percent
  • Stumbleupon: 8.0 percent
  • digg: 7.7 percent
  • del.icio.us: 6.3 percent
  • hi5: 2.7 percent
  • Friendster: 1.5 percent
  • bebo: 1.2 percent
  • Google Buzz: 0.2 percent
  • Ning: 0.2 percent
  • Reddit: 0.2 percent
