Moniker Sells Cool Handle Web Hosting To Pronethosting.NET

By Anna Johnson on January 14th, 2010

Leading domain name industry player, Moniker, has sold its web hosting company, Cool Handle Web Hosting to Pronethosting.NET for an undisclosed amount.

It seems the domain name registrar is getting out of the web hosting business in order to focus on its core activities of domain name traffic monetization, domain appraisals, and domain name purchase, domain escrow and aftermarket services.

For now at least.

For its part, Pronethosting.NET was attracted to Cool Handle due to its ‘value-priced’ services for shared web hosting and email hosting. As a result of the acquisition, Pronethosting.NET will provide shared, reseller, and dedicated hosting to over 100,000 domains.
