Moms Want Technology To Help With Parenting
By Anna Johnson on January 28th, 2010Research by BabyCenter shows that 4 out of 10 U.S. mothers who use the Internet want technology that can help them with their parenting.
In particular, U.S. online moms are looking for tools to help them manage the family schedule, look after their family’s health, and record and share photos and videos.
Consequently, moms are embracing such technologies as smartphones and personal digital assistants (used by 69 percent to coordinate and schedule family activities).
They’re also embracing home networking. 40 percent of moms say that technology convergence in the home makes technology more useful, and 72 percent are likely to go on the Internet using a laptop in the kitchen or living room in order to be near the kids.
