Missed Startup School? Watch The Stream

By Anna Johnson on November 3rd, 2009

Did you miss Startup School? Sponsored by The Berkeley CSUA, St@b, BASES, and Y Combinator, Startup School was a free, one-day event held at UC Berkeley held on October 24, 2009 for company founders to learn about starting a tech business.

Startup School also featured a speaker panel that included something of a who’s who of Internet business movers and shakers – from Chris Anderson (editor of Wired and author of Free and The Long Tail) to Biz Stone and Evan Williams (founders of Twitter) to Mark Zuckerberg (founder of Facebook).

How awesome would it have been to be in the room and hear Startup School speakers like these guys talk about starting an Internet or technology business!

Thankfully, the next-best thing is still available: a replay of the video stream of the event, courtesy of Justin.tv:  Justin.tv/startupschool

Here’s the speaker schedule (each presentation is about 30 minutes):

  • Paul Graham (YCombinator, Viaweb)
  • Greg McAdoo (Sequoia Capital)
  • Jason Fried (37 Signals)
  • Chris Anderson (Wired)
  • Biz Stone & Evan Williams (Twitter)
  • Paul Buchheit (FriendFeed, creator of Gmail)
  • Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook – only broadcast on Facebook)
  • Mitch Kapor (Kapor Capital, Lotus)
  • Tony Hsieh (Zappos)
  • Mark Pincus (Zynga, Tribe, SupportSoft, Freeloader)
