Marvel Entertainment and game developer Gazillion have entered into a 10-year partnership to create a number of massively multiplayer online games (‘MMOGs’) based on Marvel Comics characters.

Marvel Comics favorites include Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Hulk, the X-Men, Thing, Captain America, The Punisher (to name a few).

Marvel and Gazillion plan to release their first game, ‘Marvel Super Hero Squad’ in 2010.

Covering all revenue possibilities, Marvel also has a deal with video game publisher THQ to release a video game in 2009 for the same property, along with licensing deals for a line of toys.

The partners plan to release the second game, ‘Marvel Universe’ in about 2012.
