Internet Marketers Say Personalized Search and Real Time Search Are Biggest Search Innovations

Internet marketers involved in search engine marketing say personalized search and real-time search will have the biggest potential impact on their search marketing strategies in the next 1-5 years, followed by video search and mobile search.

According to MarketingSherpa’s survey of 2,194 search marketers, detailed in its 2011 Search Marketing Benchmark Report here are the percentages of search marketers that rated various search innovations expected to have either somewhat or a great impact on their businesses:

  1. Personalized search: 90 percent
  2. Real-time search: 89 percent
  3. Video search: 73 percent
  4. Mobile search: 73 percent
