Internet Marketers Paying 20 Percent Higher CPCs in December
By Anna Johnson on January 25th, 2011Data from Efficient Frontier indicates that average search engine cost per click (CPC) prices were 20 percent higher in December 2010 compared with December 2009.
In the finance category, pay-per-click (PPC) ads cost 10 percent higher in December 2010 compared with those last year, while travel CPCs were up by 23 percent. PPC ads in the automotive and retail categories were both 15 percent higher on a year-over-year basis.
