IMshopping Provides Interactive Chat Widget For Online Stores
By Anna Johnson on September 14th, 2009IMshopping has released a new feature called Merchant Answers that allows shoppers to ask questions on online stores’ sites using an an embeddable chat widget.
The IMshopping Merchant Answers widget enables you to brand the widget for your site with a ‘get assistance’ or similar wording on the button. When someone clicks on the widget, they are taken to a window where they can ask a question specific to the site.
The question is then directed to a shopping guide, who can either be you or a staff member, or even someone from IMshopping’s community of trained shopping guides. The shopping guide then provides an answer, along with a link to the product in question. The widget also allows for consumers to see recent questions asked by other users.
Another feature of IMshopping’s Merchant Answers is the ability to use Twitter to answer questions, based on linking your Twitter account to your IMshopping account.
