Hulu Displays 1.1 Billion – 24 Percent of All – Online Video Ad Impressions

U.S. Internet users watched 4.6 billion online video ads in October 2010. Online video site Hulu accounted for 1.1 billion (24 percent) of these ad impressions.

Hulu’s online video ad dominance is substantial. The site displays more than double the online video ad impressions of the second biggest player, Tremor Media Video Network. Tremor Media Video Network displayed 533 million ad impressions in October 2010.

Based on comScore Video Metrix data, here are the top 10 online video ad properties by video ads viewed in October 2010:

  1. Hulu: 1.1 billion
  2. Tremor Media Video Network: 533 million ad views
  3. ADAP.TV: 435 million
  4. BrightRoll Video Network: 374 million
  5. CBS Interactive: 270 million

    Video ads accounted for 12.8 percent of all videos viewed and 1.2 percent of all minutes of online video watched by U.S. Internet users during the month. The duration of the average online video ad was 24 seconds.
