How To Improve Your Search Marketing In 10 Minutes a Day
By Anna Johnson on August 29th, 2008Carrie Hill of Search Engine Watch offers some simple – yet powerful – tips for improving your search engine marketing performance in just 10 minutes per day.
You know what that means: no excuses! (For me either…)
Ms Hill offers ten tasks that can each be done in less than 10 minutes. My favorites are these:
1. Update your keyword research – keyword trends change for a number of reasons. If you want to continue being found by your audience, you need to be targeting the keywords they’re currently searching on. (Actually, I’m not entirely sure 10 minutes is all this would take… but let’s not ruin a nice theme…)
2. Re-optimize your home page. Following on from all that new keyword research you’ve performed, you may discover that it’s time to re-optimize your home page. Now this IS something that may only take 10 minutes… assuming you’re not replacing the whole focus of the page, of course.
3. Rewrite under-performing pay-per-click (PPC) ads – actually, this is something you should be doing as soon as you have definitive data to say that one ad is outperforming another. Sometimes all it takes is tweaking a few words to have a new ad worthy of testing.
