Your ‘email reputation’ is a function of how spam monitoring services and Internet service providers regard (and deal with) your email. There are several services that score reputation based on their data sources, criteria and algorithms.
According to MarketingSherpa there are a few factors common to all reputation services that serve to undermine your email reputation:
- Message volume – sudden spikes in volume may cause your message to be viewed as a spam blast and detract from your reputation.
- Low delivery rate
- Appearing on blacklists
