How To Get More Leads To Your Off-Line Business
By Anna Johnson on February 21st, 2009Melissa Burden, a persuasion analyst for FutureNow, has written a great piece describing how you can generate more online leads to an off-line store.
Ms Burden’s tips aren’t theoretical either. She says that implementing her tips for one of FutureNow’s clients saw Internet-referred sales increase by 31 percent… even as the client’s web traffic was down by 10 percent and overall sales were down by 10 percent.
Here is a summary of Melissa’s recommendations (check out the article for a full description of each tactic):
- Provide a link to a map and directions to get to the store’s location.
- Have a slide show or video that online visitors can use to virtually tour the location.
- Give visitors a compelling reason to visit the location.
- Entice people to sign up to a list where they get, say, a discount coupon they can use at the store.
- Provide the address, open hours, etc of the store on all product/services pages and landing pages.
