How To Get More Buyers To Your Website

By Anna Johnson on June 15th, 2009

A recent blog post by Grokdotcom’s Bryan Eisenberg emphasizes the need for Internet marketers to focus on attracting buyers rather than general website visitors.

Bryan says that, on an average website, only 3 percent of visitors are buyers, while the remaining 97 percent is distributed between potential buyers and ‘disqualified traffic’ (visitors who will never buy from you).

Consequently, your task is to increase the number of buyers and potential buyers, and decrease the proportion of disqualified visitors to your site.

How do you do this?

Well, it’s really about focusing both your traffic generation and conversion efforts on no-one but your target market. This can entail a host of activities, ranging from search engine optimization to copywriting.

In general, however, it’s about being highly calculated in your Internet marketing efforts, and testing, testing, testing to continually refine and improve your results.

As the expression goes, easier said than done. I am sure there are some expert SEO people who can target some of their readers. This would probably require a ton of work and testing till you are blue in the face.

One of my solutions ,as the old saying goes: the more you throw against the wall the more will stick. It really comes to a numbers game.
