How old is the average Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc user? Well, Pingdom, which recently grabbed age statistics from 19 different social network sites, has the answers.

Here are the average ages of users of the following social networks:

• Facebook: 38 years old
• MySpace: 31 years old
• Twitter: 39 years old
• LinkedIn: 44 years old
• Bebo: 28 years old

In other findings, the average social network user is 37 years old and, in fact, 25 percent of users of the social networks studied are aged 35 to 44. In terms of age distribution on various social networks:

• Bebo: 44 percent of users are aged 17 or younger
• MySpace: 33 percent of users are aged 17 or younger
• Classmates.com: 8 percent are aged 65 or older and 78 percent are 35 or older
• Twitter: 64 percent are aged 35 or older
• Facebook: 61 percent are aged 35 or older
