How Often Should You Tweet?
By Anna Johnson on October 2nd, 2009The folks at HubSpot have analyzed some 1.6 million Twitter users (using the Twitter Grader tool) and reckon they know the optimal number of tweets for someone seeking the most Twitter followers.
According to HubSpot, Twitter users who tweet 10-50 times per day tend to have more followers than those who tweet more or less frequently, with the optimal number around 22 tweets per day.
The only problem with this analysis is that it shows a correlation between tweets and followers, not a relationship of cause and effect. In other words, it’s not clear that if you start tweeting 22 times per day you’ll start getting more followers.
