How Much Do Search Marketing Specialists Get Paid?

So what kind of salary can you expect to get as an employee search marketing specialist? Will you get paid more or less than a general marketing manager?

Well, based on a survey conducted by MarketingSherpa, generalist marketers are valued more highly than search marketing specialists.

The following marketing and search marketing titles were associated with the average salaries (in U.S. dollars) given below. Also listed is the number of people with the relevant title that MarketingSherpa surveyed:

  • Marketing Director: 80 $111,125 (80 people)
  • Other Director: 29 $106,034 (29 people)
  • General Marketing Consultant: 34 $101,176 (34 people)
  • Search Marketing Director: 27 $92,778 (27 people)
  • Marketing Manager: 93 $71,667 (93 people)
  • Other Manager: 25 $69,400 (25 people)
  • Search Marketing Manager: 32 $68,750
  • SEO Specialist: 17 $68,529 (17 people)
  • General SEM Specialist: 13 $63,462 (13 people)
  • Data Analyst: 5 $55,000 (5 people)
  • PPC Specialist: 18 $49,444 (18 people)
  • Marketing Assistant: 44 $48,409 (44 people)
  • Search Marketing Assistant: 9 $43,889 (9 people)
  • Other Assistant: 9 $36,111 (9 people)
  • None of the Above: $92,468 (79 people)
  • Total average: $81,362 (514 people)

    i think marketing is a great career, either online or in the office, it is a job that interests me and it makes good money. its nice to know how much each can make, it will make me look more into it and maybe take marketing courses in university.
