How Do People REALLY See Your Website? (Free tool)

By Anna Johnson on October 4th, 2008

Want to see what your website visitors REALLY see when they visit your website? What stands out… and what doesn’t… the moment they arrive on your webpage?

Well check out this free tool from StomperNet. It’s called Stomper Scrutinizer and is a web browser (based on the Adobe AIR toolkit and the WebKit browser) which simulates the human visual system.

Technically speaking, it reveals “the distinction between the foveal and peripheral vision in visual acuity and color perception.”

In other words, using Scrutinizer to view your website gives a good indication of the overall impression your website has on someone who arrives on your site. As such, Scrutinizer can aid in website design by indicating what you may need to move, emphasize more, emphasize less, and so on.

Scrutinizer is currently in beta and you can download it here:

What it shows is literally EYE OPENING!
