How a Coach Can Fast-Track Your Business

By Anna Johnson on February 24th, 2009

I’m a big believer in the value of coaching. Whether formal or informal, having someone to give you objective guidance can be just the thing to fast-track your business.

Here are just six ways a coach can help you. A coach can:

  1. Be a sounding board
  2. Give you a fresh, objective perspective
  3. Provide you with specific, expert advice
  4. Help identify your blind spots… weaknesses… and strengths!
  5. Help you uncover your own solutions
  6. ‘Force’ you to be accountable. There’s nothing like the pressure of meeting someone else’s expectations to haul you into action!

I’ve been coached and I’ve coached others, and I have no doubt about its benefits.

Coaching is not a quick fix, of course. It’s not a quick fix in the business world any more than it is in the sporting world. But it can help fast-track your business by, in particular, keeping you aligned to, and working towards your goal (not so easy when many of us are easily distracted!)
