Harlan Kilstein Exposes Dubious Online Marketing Tactics
By Anna Johnson on October 26th, 2009Never one to hold back from expressing his opinion, Internet marketer and copywriter Harlan Kilstein has unleashed two videos blasting what he calls ‘scammers’ over their questionable online marketing practices.
Watching these videos – and seeing the elaborate lengths to which some online marketers seem prepared to go in order to extract money from people – I can’t help but shake my head.
If you’ve ever wondered why the U.S. Federal Trade Commission – with its recent announcement to introduce much more stringent guidelines over the use of testimonials and endorsements – seems to be targeting Internet marketers, watch these videos.
You could say that the use of these rather dubious marketing practices is to blame.
Unfortunately, it only takes a few rogues causing enough damage to inspire governments and government authorities to introduce tighter laws, regulations, policies, guidelines, etc.
The fact that these tougher regulations make it harder for honest and legitimate Internet marketers to do business… well that’s too bad.
