Google’s Share of U.S. Search Steady in September 2009
By Anna Johnson on October 19th, 2009According to comScore, Americans performed 13.8 billion core searches in September 2009, with Google sites accounting for a 64.9 percent share of those searches (up 0.3 percent since August).
Microsoft Sites (including Bing) attracted a 9.4 percent market share in September (up 0.1 percent since August), while Yahoo dropped 0.5 percent to secure a 18.8 percent share.
Ask Network and AOL each maintained their share of search with 3.9 percent and 3 percent market shares respectively.
