Google To Index Audio
By Anna Johnson on September 18th, 2008Google announced on Wednesday that it is beta testing ‘GAudi’ – a new service to index audio files.
Designed to work with YouTube, GAudi will transcribe the words spoken in an audio or video clip, and add the transcription to a searchable database.
GAudi is currently in beta and is only indexing audio and video from political sources.
