Google Releases ‘The Google Beat’ YouTube Show To Cover Popular Google Searches (Yawn…)
By Anna Johnson on September 7th, 2010Google’s new YouTube video show, The Google Beat, is a quick, snappy summary of some of the most popular searches on Google. All in all, however, the show underwhelms. It’s just too superficial to be interesting to Internet marketers, and too general to be interesting to everyone else.
Google Beat bases its stories on data from Google Trends, Google Insights for Search and ‘some additional tools’. Perhaps if you’re interested in what Google considers to be interesting, by all means check out The Googlebeat. But if you’re like most Internet marketers, you’ll be looking for trends and statistics on specific topics, so you’re much, much better off going straight to the sources.
