Google Releases Google Analytics API
By Anna Johnson on April 24th, 2009If you’re tech savvy and have a passion for web analytics, you’ll be delighted to hear that Google has released its Google Analytics Data Export API.
Now, with access to the Google Analytics Data Export API, you (or your team) can create customized applications that download and re-present data from your Google Analytics account into the form you’ve always wanted.
Essentially, the Google Analytics application data interface allows developers to build client applications that download Analytics data in the form of Google Data API feeds.
Your client application can use the Data Export API to request data from an existing (authorized) Analytics profile, and refine the results of the request using query parameters.
So, if you’ve always wanted Google Analytics to display data in a specific form… and to see that data without having to visit your Analytics account each time… now’s your chance.
You can now create and share a customized dashboard without having to access the Google Analytics reporting interface.
